Two assistant managers of a corporate grocery store vie for a coveted promotion. A war of wills takes place between two men who want to run the same grocery store in this offbeat comedy from writer and director Steven Conrad. Doug (Seann William Scott) is a seemingly ordinary guy who works as the assistant manager of a supermarket near Chicago. When the owners of the market announce they’re opening a new branch near Doug’s neighborhood, he applies to become manager of the new store, and both he and his wife (Jenna Fischer) assume he’s a shoo-in to get the job. But Richard (John C. Reilly), a gregarious recent hire at the store who has relocated to Illinois from Canada, announces he’s also applying for the management position, and a keen rivalry develops between Doug and Richard even as they strive to act like friends on the surface.

As the competition grows between the two, their personality flaws become increasingly evident — Doug’s short temper, Richard’s history of drug abuse — and when Richard’s wife (Lili Taylor) leaves him, the contest starts taking an uncomfortable turn.

Why not to buy the new IPhone 3G?

I agree IPhone 3G has the best touchscreen interface ever. I loved the multitouch experience, screen is awesome! You might not be able to take your eyes away from the screen when its playing your favourite video. iPOD feel will give you a feel of utopia.

BUT

IMHO Apple’s IPhone is an overpriced n00b’s device as it has some serious features missing which I am coming onto later in this post. Like stevie_g I would rather like to buy XBOX 360 or a notebook instead. This phone is going to surrender soon because N96 is coming and guess what? N96 is loaded with MIGHTY features and price is same. This contract thing has been there in the west since 10000 BC, so likewise west it will NOT be the ideal deal.

Coming to point, here is what I have come across.I will not be comparing Apple’s Iphone with Nokia N96 as Apple’s IPhone will be humiliated.

Here it goes:

• Way Overpriced! Apple IPhone = $900? . Seriously it has nothing except a big screen and multitouch experience to offer.
• Bluetooth only for Headset and NO data transfer? This is what I call “Serious waste of Bluetooth Ver.2″. Do I have to carry a notebook with me just to transfer applets to this junk?
• YOU CANT MULTITASK! Now that is a serious one. You cant open 2 applets at once, not even a game and a word processor together.
• 3G but NO FRONT CAM for Video Calls. Do I need to explain this one? What use will have a 3G phone when its not having a front cam for video calls?
• 2MP Camera in times of 5MP? Get a Life. Apple claims that this phone is ahead of many 2MP phones in terms of image capturing. But my dear friend Apple, 2MP is 2MP != 5MP
• NO MMS…lolz. 3G phone and you cant send images in messages. Is this a really phone we are talking about?
• GPS is not actually GPS. No turn by turn Navigation, it was only a map thingy more or less.
• NO CARD SLOT. (Compared to others in its class, N96 has 16GB internal memory + a card slot)
• No Info about the Processor. Apple provides no information regarding the iPhone 3G processor, simply that it is a “closed system”. I think this is the cause of no multitasking. The processor might be slow.
• No Adobe Flash Player for Safari. How am I supposed to watch the rich web content without flash player?
• No Replaceable Battery. Additional $30 jack for replaceable battery.
