The Pirate Bay Trial Verdict – The Defendants Found Guilty

The Pirate Bay case finished today with a sad verdict for many people and Internet users around the world – the four defendants were found guilty and they were sentenced to one year in jail. Peter Sunde, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Fredrik Neij, and Carl Lundström will have to $3,6 million in damages to 17 media companies. Allegedly, the four defendants didn’t respect the copyright terms of the media companies, the most damaged were the American giants like Warner Bros. Entertainment, MGM Pictures, Sony BMG, and Universal.

Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, and Fredrik Neij are the co-founders of ThePirateBay.org website, while Peter Sunde is a spokesman/programmer, and Carl Lundström has been offering technical-services since 2005 for the website. A Swedish court has found them guilty as charged for allowing illegal file sharing on The Pirate Bay as 33 copyright-protected files were accessible on ThePirateBay.org.

This is an absolutely stunning decision as most of the charges were dropped since the trial has begun, and considering the fact that the files are not stored on the website! Judge Tomas Norström decided after a 13-day trial that the founders are guilty for not doing anything, and now the four defendants will have to stay one year in prison and to pay $3,6 million in damages as a compensation for media companies like Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, Columbia Pictures Industries, EMI, MGM Pictures, Sierra Entertainment, Sony BMG, Twentieth Century Fox Film, Universal, and Warner Bros. Entertainment.

The Pirate Bay trial has ended with a guilty verdict for the four defendants who were “assisting in making copyright content available”. Although the four defendants appealed on the verdict, it could take several years before the case is re-opened at the Supreme Court in Sweden. INFO ABOUT A FAKE TORRENT by MPAA

This is a Friendly Warning to all of you downloaders that the MPAA have released a fake torrent for Ice Age 3 dvdrip (on real scene not even a cam has been released yet). Now this torrent is a tracer torrent which means if you connect to download it for as little as probably 10 mins the MPAA will have your IP address and details so they will come and bust you. So if any see ICE AGE 3 dvdrip on an open site ignore it and don’t get it as it a tracer, if you see it on a private site (VERY UNLIKELY) make sure it has been downloaded in full and check the comments b4 downloading, open sites include mininova,btjunkie,sumo torrent etc.

Thought many of you would like to know. If you know it already, very good, pass the information to fellow downloaders and pirates.

Windows 7 Beta Preview!!

I Know you all might be thinking that I(quake.devil) might have left the site but i have not… So after a long time no see condition I am presenting you all the all new windows 7 Preview and its features too….

hahahah the desktop background might bother you a little but as i was confused a little about the desktop background i told my sweet little sister to set it for me of her choice so she settled with this.

DESKTOP:

The desktop looks a lot simple but it isnt. I wound have shown that features with the pic but it will increase the size of the post and i know you all like a short simple post so this is for you all.

Features Of Desktop:

1) As you all can see a small transparent rectangular button on the extreme right corner of the taskbar, when you place you pointer on that button your desktop will be visible till you remove your pointer from there and the desktop will be visible with a glass box on it as it depicts the window opened. Its preview is just below.

2) Earlier in Windows Vista you all might have done a lot of clicking to just connect your computer to a Wireless Network. But now Windows have made it just 3-click-all-done feature. All you have to do is just to click on the wireless button on the taskbar and just double click on the wireless network found, you will be easily connected to the internet as soon as you do so. Preview as follows.

3) You all might have experienced the [WINDOW KEY]+[TAB] feature on Windows Vista its the same as it is, but with Windows 7 , Microsoft has added a new feature called as small box feature(as called by me). So whats this, its all about just an active preview of the application running, even if a video is on playback that video can also be seen as a active preview. just have a look below.

So now lets move from this DESKTOP to some other main features.

ACTION CENTER:

All might have seen Security center on Windows Vista but its now re-edited to Action Center which not only handles about the Security action but also about the maintenance of you PC. It searches about every fault and searches about the solution.

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER:

Ya!!! Its sure it has Windows Media Player 11 but its also re-formated. Whenever you just play any song directly from your hard-drive the media player starts with a small window and that plays you favourite music without consuming you RAM.

These were just a small preview about WIN 7 Beta- Bulid 7048. So i just advice you all to just give it a try if you liked it just enjoy it. Remember the beta will work only till 1st Aug. 2009.
